Using Your Vanity Inbox with Priority Matrix

Priority Matrix offers a convenient way to turn emails into tasks by forwarding them to your Priority Matrix inbox. While all users receive a default forwarding address, subscribers can take advantage of our Vanity Inbox feature to create a more memorable, personalized email address for this purpose.

What is a Vanity Inbox?

A Vanity Inbox is a custom email address that forwards directly to your Priority Matrix inbox. Instead of using a long, automatically generated address, you can choose a unique, memorable address that's easier to remember and type. Like the standard forwarding address, your vanity inbox will create new tasks from any emails it receives, using the subject line as the task title and the email body as task notes.

Benefits of Using a Vanity Inbox

  • Easier to Remember: Choose an address that makes sense to you instead of remembering a random string of characters
  • Simpler to Share: When setting up integrations or sharing with team members, a custom address is much easier to communicate
  • Professional Looking: When setting up automated workflows or integrations, having a clean, custom address looks more professional
  • Same Great Features: Maintains all the functionality of the standard forwarding address, just with a more personalized touch

How to Set Up Your Vanity Inbox

  1. Log into your Priority Matrix account
  2. Visit https://sync.appfluence.com/manage/custom_inbox/
  3. Choose your desired custom address (it will end in @appfluence.com)
  4. Click Save to confirm your selection

Once set up, your vanity inbox works exactly like the standard forwarding address - any emails sent to it will automatically create new tasks in your Priority Matrix inbox.

Using Your Vanity Inbox

Your vanity inbox can be used anywhere you'd use the standard forwarding address, including:

  • Setting up email client rules for automatic task creation
  • Forwarding important emails manually
  • Integrating with other productivity tools and workflows
  • Sharing with team members for collaborative task management

Tips for Choosing Your Vanity Inbox Address

When selecting your custom address, consider these best practices:

  • Keep it professional and easy to type
  • Avoid special characters that might cause confusion
  • Consider using your name or your team's name for clarity
  • Make it memorable but appropriate for business use

Availability and Access

The Vanity Inbox feature is available to all Priority Matrix subscribers at every pricing tier. If you're currently using the standard forwarding address, you can set up your vanity inbox at any time without losing any existing functionality or integrations.
